Who are we?

Our Governors

Steve Keeble

I became a trust governor in July 2023.

In the 1960’s I was a pupil at Albert Pye as were my children in the 1990’s & now my

grandsons in the 2020’s. Albert Pye & Ravensmere had such a positive impact on my family I wanted to give something back by using the skills from my working years to support the schools

in continuing to provide an excellent education and supportive environment for all of our

children.

I’ve lived in Beccles all my life and after working in a dental laboratory in the town, did an

Open University science degree followed by teacher training. I worked in education from 1997, as a Teacher of Science, Head of Science and an Assistant Principal in two local secondary schools.

I retired from full time work in 2020.

I enjoy being a grandad to two grandsons, playing guitar, tending our allotment and hill

walking.

Emily Fenning

When I first became a parent governor in 2020, I had 3 children at the school. Four years later, I only have one child still at primary school! Being a governor has given me a greater appreciation of the dedication and hard work of the staff, and I enjoy visiting the school to see in action what we have heard about in meetings.

I am a secondary school teacher and in my spare time I enjoy reading novels, cooking and doing active things with my family. I also love being part of our church in Beccles

Tom Woodrow

I started as a trust governor at the Albert Pye in September 2023.

I have worked in education since 2013 starting as a secondary Physical Education teacher and since then worked in a range of roles from Head of Year, Head of PE and currently Head of Technical Learning at a secondary school in Norwich.

I have a passion for promoting health and fitness among student and I firmly believe in the transformative power of sports and physical activity.

Beyond the classroom, I enjoy playing a range of sports and taking my own children to local clubs within Beccles.

I look forward to giving back to the local community and supporting the Albert Pye Primary School as a trust governor.

Sarah Lund

I became a parent governor in June 2023 as I was keen to be more involved with supporting the school and, as a working parent, I was often unable to attend other events. I have worked in Primary Education for over 15 years, teaching in Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Norfolk, as well as teaching at a British School in Boston, USA. During this time I have held various teaching roles and have been in my current role as Head of School at a Norfolk Primary for over 3 years. During my free time I enjoy running and love being part of Beccles & Bungay Harriers, reading and any activities with my children, especially building Lego!
