Our School Council - September 2022

We are pleased to introduce to you our new School Council as voted for by their peers. We look forward to meeting with the children to discuss their ideas of what they would like to do to help make a difference in our school community and in both our local and wider communities. 

Beccles Food Bank - January 2022

The School Council spoke with the children at Ravensmere about how we could help the people in our own community. The school decided that they would like to bring in donations of food and toiletries to give to the Beccles Food Bank. 

Supporting UNICEF - December 2021

Each year, the children at Ravensmere traditionally receive a small gift from our school advent calendar. This year they wanted to do something different and so the School Council wrote to our parents and carers and collected donations that have allowed us to buy a UNICEF calendar. Each day, the children open a window to find out how their donation has helped those children less fortunate than themselves. So far, we have helped to buy pencils, a mosquito net and vaccines for measles. 

Poppy Appeal - November 2021

The School Council helped to collect donations for the Poppy Appeal. We managed to raise an amazing £45.40. Well done Ravensmere!

Our School Council - September 2021

Those children who wished to be on the School Council, stood up and told their peers why they thought they would make a good School Councillor. Each child then voted for who they would like to represent their class on the School Council. Congratulations to our new School Councillors!
